FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets.

They started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia.

So far they disbursed close to 500,000 microloans and give more than 5000 loans daily. They are backed by top notch US/EU investors and have raised 15m EUR + Venture Capital supporting our stellar growth.

They are a team of 45 between Paris and Lagos in Engineering (Android, Data, Backend), Product, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations.

Job Description

  • Build a backlog of financial issues faced by people in Nigeria & derive recommendations from there to make us number 1 online lender in Nigeria (Weekly payments for businesses, higher loans for some subcategories with financial revenues, new ways of identifying revenues, loans top-up, ...)
  • Build a backlog of improvements (quick wins or bigger changes) for FairMoney app, based on the current usage of FairMoney app by our clients
  • Share detailed customer feedback to let everybody understand their usage of FairMoney and their usage of financial services
  • Collaborate with the UX designer to facilitate the iterations on FairMoney app or USSD new designs.
  • Travel across Nigeria to meet with customers

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in user research or product (customer oriented)
  • One professional experience in a relevant management position
  • Very good ability to communicate in English + 1+ local language(s) (amongst Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo)
  • Hands-on and resourceful
  • Command of Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint)

2- Case study around User Research
3- 2nd interview to debrief the case study
4- 3rd interview - Fit with a second cofounder
