Job Description

We’re looking for a User Research Lead to join our team in Ikeja - Lagos, Nigeria. We are assembling a strong local product team and are looking for talented newcomers to help us build a bank ! The hire would be the intersection between our clients and the HQ tech/product teams and hence have the unique opportunity to shape the future of financial services in Nigeria.

  • Build a backlog of financial issues faced by Nigerians & derive recommendations from there to make us number 1 online lender in Nigeria (Weekly payments for businesses, higher loans for some subcategories with financial revenues, new ways of identifying revenues, loans top-up, overdrafts, agency lending ...)

  • Build a backlog of improvements (quick wins or bigger changes) for FairMoney app, based on the current usage of FairMoney app by our clients

  • Share detailed customer feedback to let everybody understand their usage of FairMoney and their usage of financial services

  • Collaborate with the UX designer and Paris based product teams/tech team to facilitate the iterations on FairMoney app or USSD new designs.

  • Travel across Nigeria to meet with customers and identify new growth opportunities and product challenges.

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in user research or product (customer oriented)
  • One professional experience in a relevant management position
  • Very good ability to communicate in English + 1+ local language(s) (amongst Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo)
  • Hands-on and resourceful
  • Command of Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint)

Recruitment Process

1- 45/60-minute Telephone/Skype interview with Recruiter
2- Case study around User Research
3- 2nd interview to debrief the case study
4- 3rd interview - Fit interview with a cofounder
