FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets.

We started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia to validate this vision.

Job Description

FairMoney is a digital bank for developing countries offering instant microloans in Nigeria, via the smartphone application FairMoney (here). With a technical team in Paris and a setup of top notch investors (€4 million raised so far), our mission is to revolutionize access to financial services in the emerging world.

FairMoney is recruiting an operations manager with a startup mindset to scale its operations in Nigeria.
We give today 3,000 loans per day in Nigeria with a team of 30 people. We will triple our loan volume and become a digital bank in 2019 - it will put a high pressure on operations, you must find solutions to make them scale by designing and implementing better processes.

Analyze the current processes of our operations team and identify weaknesses by working hand-in-hand with the team lead and the agents
Benchmark the best practices for ops processes
Design and implement solutions to improve our two CRM-tools: Salesforce/ FreshWorks in coordination with the team lead
Help the team lead onboard the agents to use the solutions implemented
Create new operations processes when we create new financial products: current accounts, payments, savings
Weekly detailed reporting with operations metrics to the Country Manager

Preferred Experience


  • Education: You have a business and engineering background from a top engineering/business school
  • You have already completed internships in start-ups or consulting.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to get hands dirty at all times.
  • Data-driven and KPI-oriented approach to maximize the efficiency of all the operations
  • CRM tool management, SQL, MS Excel proficiency is a plus.
  • Willing to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria, for a period of 5-6 months
  • In love with FairMoney mission to enhance access to finance for the underbanked
  • Fluent in English
