5-6 months Internship - Operations Manager (BI/ Data analysis)

FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets.

They started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia.

So far they disbursed close to 500,000 microloans and give more than 5000 loans daily. They are backed by top notch US/EU investors and have raised 15m EUR + Venture Capital supporting our stellar growth.

They are a team of 45 between Paris and Lagos in Engineering (Android, Data, Backend), Product, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations.

FairMoney is recruiting an Operations Manager intern (focus on business intelligence/ data analysis) to build a mobile bank used by a million customers.

Preferred Experience

  • You have a solid track record of achievement (academic, professional, and/or sport)
  • You have at least one experience in a fast-growing tech startup company, in consulting or investment banking
  • You don’t cry when things go unexpected. This is Lagos, Nigeria - not Lagos, Portugal.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to get hands dirty at all times
  • You are a problem solver with a data-driven and KPI-oriented approach to maximize the efficiency of all the operations, using such tools as SQL and Excel
  • Willing to spend a significant amount of time in the markets (West Africa, South-East Asia) to test our product & understand clients
  • Curious, hungry and motivated to work in a highly dynamic environment.
  • In love with FairMoney mission to enhance access to finance for the underbanked
  • Fluent in English any other language (Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) is a plus **
